Student Code of Conduct
Enrollment at Dashrath Prasad Singh Institute of Health Education (DPSIHE) carries with it the obligation to maintain standards of common decency and professionalism. As future healthcare providers, students are expected to uphold the highest levels of integrity, empathy, and discipline.
1. General Discipline & Campus Decorum
- Students must maintain 80% attendance in theory and 100% attendance in clinical practice to be eligible for examinations as per INC norms.
- Identity Cards must be worn at all times within the college premises and clinical areas.
- The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited during classroom hours and clinical duties.
- Strict silence must be observed in the library, laboratories, and corridors.
2. Professional Dress Code
Nursing is a profession of dignity. Students must adhere to the prescribed uniform policy:
- Clean, well-ironed uniforms must be worn during college and hospital hours.
- Hair must be neatly tied (girls) or properly groomed (boys).
- Jewelry, long nails, and loud nail polish are strictly prohibited during clinical postings for hygiene and safety reasons.
3. Clinical & Hospital Ethics
- Students must treat patients with the utmost respect, compassion, and confidentiality.
- Punctuality in clinical postings is mandatory. Late arrival will be treated as an absence.
- Any damage to hospital or college equipment must be reported immediately and may lead to a fine.
4. ANTI-RAGGING POLICY
Ragging is a criminal offense as per the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
DPSIHE maintains a Zero Tolerance Policy towards ragging. Any student found involved in ragging, directly or indirectly, will face immediate expulsion from the institute and a report will be filed with the local police authorities.
5. Prohibited Activities
- Consumption of tobacco, alcohol, or any prohibited drugs within the campus or hostel is strictly forbidden.
- Any form of political activity or unauthorized union formation is not permitted.
- Vandalism or defacing college property will result in strict disciplinary action.
Note: The Management reserves the right to modify these rules. Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct may lead to suspension or termination of admission.
